The manager shall write a letter to him facing the time for the payment of capital and interest, if such capital and interest shall not be paid on or one month after such letter is written, the Manager shall discuss the matter at a meeting and confiscate the share (or shares). Or a lawyer may be engaged to collect the amount, and in such case all expenses shall be borne by the defaulter.

From the 20th day of March previous to this date all accounts and business relating to the license for preparing or boiling opium at Hongkong, whether profit or loss, shall only concern Van Chun Wai and others, but after the said date all accounts and business, whether profit or loss, shall concern the Man Tai Sang Company, share and share alike.
From the date of the partnership of the Man Tai Sang Company, the Capital shall be subscribed by the Company, but the boiling or preparing of opium for sale at Australia and California and other ports, and the sale by retail at Hongkong shall still be made in the name of Man Wa Sang firm. All business, whether profit or loss and expenses of the establishment, shall be borne by the Man Wa Sang Company. The firm of Man Wa Sang was originally owned by Man Chun Kai and others, but temporarily lent its name to the Man Tai Sang Company for the purpose of selling and preparing opium.
